Dazzling Mission Hills Home Remodel
A stunning transformation
This historical house built in 1938 takes the master bath and transforms it into an elegant retreat. The entire bath was completely gutted and re-designed creating an open space. New custom white painted vanity cabinets and separate dressing area are both topped with Carrara marble. A beautiful mosaic inlay is added as a center design to polished Carrara marble floors along with a heated floor system. Claw foot tub sits in front of angled windows taking advantage of the amazing view. In the master shower Carrara marble tiles cover the walls and features a marble mosaic inlay that matches the floor.
Progression From Start To Finsih
The goal for remodeling this designated historical home was to relocate the original kitchen from its dark and space challenged area located in the front of the house. By relocating the kitchen to the rear of the home, there was an opportunity to capture the magnificent view of the San Diego bay and create and an open concept kitchen perfect for entertaining guests. We used timeless, elegant materials such as white painted cabinets complete with an inset door detail and full slab marble countertops with detailed nosing. The use of steel and columns wrapped in stucco allowed The design to eliminate the need for several structural posts below, thus creating a view of the bay from the downstairs as well.
