At the urging of her grown children, the homeowner decided it was time to build her dream kitchen. This 2,800 square foot single family home sits on a hill with views of the Pacific from the family and dining rooms – but the kitchen was choked off from this view. The low ceilings, limited entertaining space and outdated finishes didn’t match the bright airiness of the family room or our client’s personal sense of style. The Lars team revitalized this San Diego kitchen by removing the walls that separated the kitchen from the family room, vaulting the ceiling, adding larger windows and sliding doors and adding sleek modern finishes. White high gloss cabinets, matching PendalQuartz countertops and Silgranit sink with white walls created a minimal, clean and simple look.
